영국 Raytec사의 VARIO 시리즈는 수상 경력이 있는 감시 카메라용 보조 투광기입니다. VARIO IR은 적외광 모델입니다. 조명을 필요로 하는 장소에 배광을 매끄럽게 분산시키는 광학 기술인 HRT(핫스팟 리덕션 테크놀로지)를 채용하고 있습니다. 이 기술로 백화 현상이나 흑화 현상을 억제하여 클리어한 영상을 제공할 수 있는 것이 VARIO의 강점입니다. 기존 적외광 조명 영상에서는 배광이 불균등하고 중심부에는 백화 현상이, 주변부에는 흑화 현상이 발생한다는 문제점이 있었으나 VARIO는 이를 해결하여 다양한 카메라 성능을 최대로 살릴 수 있는 투광기입니다.
